Animal: Ranbir Kapoor- Rashmika Mandanna spotted on sets of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, Watch video

Animal is a film which has a lot for cinephiles to look forward to. In addition to popular filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the director’s chair, the film also has star power in the form of Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. The film officially went on floors this Friday in the Himalayas, and it seems some fans were able to catch sight of the stars on set.

A fan posted a video, featuring Ranbir and Rashmika on the sets, standing amongst the film’s crew. Ranbir was spotted wearing an all white kurta, and Rashmika is seen wearing a red and white saree. The video, shot in Manali, also features glimpses of breathtaking mountain scenery in the background.

Parineeti Chopra was earlier reported to essay the role of the female lead in the film but was replaced by Rashmika last month. In addition to Ranbir and Rashmika, the upcoming film will also feature Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.

The upcoming film marks Sandeep’s third directorial venture. The filmmaker’s first directorial came in the form of the Vijay Deverakonda starrer Telugu hit Arjun Reddy. He also helmed the film’s Hindi remake Kabir Singh (2019), which starred Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. The filmmaker had earlier talked about how Animal was going to be vastly different from Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh. He had added that any similarities between them would be due to the fact that they are all character-driven stories.

Animal will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Pranav Reddy Vanga under the banners of T Series and Bhadrakali Pictures respectively. In a conversation with TOI, Bhushan had stated that the film would feature a violent “Ranbir Kapoor”.

Animal is scheduled to be released in theatres on August 11, 2023. A pan-Indian film, it will be released in Hindi and South Indian languages.
