Animal: Ranbir Kapoor’s deadly first look from the Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s crime thriller is out

On January 1, 2023, the makers of Animal unveiled the first look of Ranbir Kapoor from the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed crime drama. T-Series, the production company, posted the deadly picture on their social media accounts and wrote:"Brave & ready to take over 2023! It’s the year of #Animal".

In addition to Ranbir, the criminal thriller also stars a number of well-known actors in key parts, including Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, and Anil Kapoor. Prior to scheduling difficulties with Imtiaz Ali's biopic on Punjabi musician Amar Singh Chamkila, in which Diljit Dosanjh will play the iconic singer, Parineeti Chopra was set to play the movie's leading lady. However, she dropped from the project.

Prior to Animal, Sandeep Reddy Vanga made his Bollywood debut with the Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-starrer Kabir Singh in 2019. It was the official Hindi remake of his own Telugu film Arjun Reddy in which Vijay Deverakonda gave an incredible performance in the titular role.

The pan-Indian film Animal will be released on August 11, 2023, over the Independence Day weekend, in Hindi and all of the southern languages. The Vaccine War, a movie by Vivek Agnihotri based on India's conflict with Covid-19, will compete with the movie at the box office. The Vaccine War will release in theatres on Independence Day, 2023.
