Animal: Shakti Kapoor joins Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's gangster drama film

Ranbir Kapoor is getting ready for Animal, which is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The main portion of the movie's shoot is finished, and the crew will regroup soon in Mumbai for a last 12-day schedule before wrapping things off. On August 11, the gangster drama will release in theatres. 

Now, the latest reports suggest that the makers of Animal have roped in Shakti Kapoor in the film. A source close to the development tells Pinkvilla, “Shakti Kapoor plays the role of a yester-year gangster in Animal and has already shot for his portions in the earlier schedules. He has an interesting character in the film and the team was very excited to have him on board. In-fact, it was an obvious casting when Sandeep Reddy Vanga came up with a character of a gangster who is past his peak.”

The movie is anticipated to be a powerful portrayal of a violent gangster narrative, with Ranbir Kapoor's character exhibiting psychopath-like characteristics. With Anil Kapoor playing the ruthless godfather and Ranbir Kapoor playing his son, the plot centres on a criminal family.  

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, well known for helming Kabir Singh, is the director of Animal. On August 11, 2023, the movie will have a theatrical release in five different languages. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in an unseen Avatar in the film. Along with Ranbir and Rashmika Mandanna, notable actors in the movie also include Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Tripti Dimri. The movie is financed by Pranay Reddy Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios, and Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar's T-Series.
