Directed by Pritam Mukherjee, the film features Madhumita Sarcar and Tanuj Virwani in the lead
Actor Anindya Chatterjee will step into the Hindi film industry as he gears up to play a pivotal character in Farz. Directed by Pritam Mukherjee, the film features Madhumita Sarcar and Tanuj Virwani in the lead. It also has Govind Namdev, Yashpal Sharma and others. The shooting will start in August. This will be Madhumita’s first Hindi film.
Talking about his debut in a Hindi feature film, Anindya said that he will focus on language training. “Hindi is not my mother-tongue. Also, my character demands a dialect. Hence, I will focus on that initially,” he said.
Anindya also explains his character. “I am a boy from a small town. After my studies, my parents put me in a path to secure a government job. It is an interesting character that has a lot shared. You perceive the character in a way and then it takes another turn. Meanwhile, this will be my first film with Madhumita. While I have known her for a long wime, we never worked together. The shooting team is also known to me. It will be fun,” he explains. The actor confirmed dates in August and September. The shooting will take place in different areas of West Bengal and Jharkhand.
Anindya’s last film, Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine with Vikram Chattopadhyay and Solanki Roy is still running in theatres. He plays a snob fiance of the heroine. “It is a simple love story based in the City Of Joy and it clicked with the audience. I am happy that my character also got a lot of positive feedback,” he said. Meanwhile, he is busy with his serial, Gantchora, in which he plays Rahul. He has recently turned down an offer by Cemelia for a web series. “I had to say no to the series because the offer did not match my expectations,” he said.
