Anirudh Ravichander is all excited for Jr NTR’s Devara teaser, says ‘All hail the tiger’

RRR star Jr NTR, who didn’t have any releases in 2023, will begin the next year with the release of Devara, the much-awaited first instalment of his two-part action franchise. Janhvi Kapoor makes her Telugu debut with the film written and directed by Koratala Siva. Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist in the actioner produced by Harikrishna K and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under NTR Arts.

Devara 1 is releasing in theatres in April 2024. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the biggie. Jr NTR’s brother and actor-producer Kalyan Ram today confirmed that 80% of the film’s shoot has been wrapped up. While he hinted that the teaser of Devara would be out soon, there’s further proof to suggest the same, all thanks to composer Anirudh Ravichander’s post.

This evening, Anirudh went all gaga about Jr NTR and Koratala Siva in the teaser and wrote, “#Devara teaser 👏👏👏 @tarak9999 and #KoratalaSiva 🔥🔥🔥. Excited 🎶 #AllHailTheTiger.” The Vikram composer hasn’t had a Telugu release since 2019 (Nani’s Gang Leader) and there’s every reason for Jr NTR’s fans to be excited about the starry collaboration.

R Rathnavelu is cranking the camera for the film while A Sreekar Prasad is the editor. Other popular actors in Devara include Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Murali Sharma, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain and Kalaiyarasan, to name a few. A few days ago, the director, producer and Jr NTR got to meet Netflix’s CEO Ted Sarandos over lunch, where the latter wished the team ahead of Devara’s release.

After Devara, Jr NTR will be joining hands with Prashanth Neel for an action drama to be produced by Mythri Movie Makers. He also came on board for War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, where he shares screen-space alongside Hrithik Roshan. He’s expected to commence work on Devara 2 once he is done with his current commitments.
