As September has come to an end, ZEE5 is getting ready for a new month full of exciting movies and shows in October 2025. Viewers can look forward to the Malayalam thriller Checkmate, the third instalment of the Punjabi action drama Dakuaan Da Munda, and more. These new releases will be available to stream through OTTplay Premium too in multiple language audios shortly after they come out. There's also a Marathi movie a Hindi movie in this list which you might not have heard before.

Checkmate

Release date: October 2

Ratish Sekhar's directorial was released in 2024, and now after a long one year, the Malayalam movie is coming to ZEE5 this October. Checkmate features Anoop Menon, Lal and Rekha Harindran in the lead roles, and will be available in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. The thriller drama centers on a power struggle within a pharmaceutical company where the CEO gets entangled in a corporate scandal after numerous drug trial deaths.

Dakuaan Da Munda 3

Release date: October 2

Dev Kharoud's third chapter of his popular Punjabi action movie is finally coming to ZEE5 this October, which was previously scheduled to release earlier this month. Daakuan Da Munda 3 also features Baani Sandhu, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Drishty Talwar in the leads, along with Navi Bhangu, Kavi Singh, and Satinder Kassoana in pivotal roles. The third chapter focuses on Karma who's boxing champion, but his life turns upside down when he meets an accident.

Fussclass Dabhade

Release date: October 2

This Marathi family drama movie made its theatrical release in January and now set to make digital debut in October on ZEE5. Starring Amey Wagh, Siddharth Chandekar, Kshitee Jog, Nivedita Saraf, and Harish Dudhade in lead roles, Fussclass Dabhade centres on the Dhabade family who's attendance a wedding sparks old family conflicts, misunderstandings, and resentment between the family members among the siblings, eventually leading to emotional growth.

Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti

Release date: October 10

This Hindi action war movie features Akshaye Khanna, Gautam Rode, Vivek Dahiya, Chandan Roy, Akshay Oberoi, and Abhilash Chaudhary. The story centers on NSG officer Major Hanut Singh who leads the counter-terrorism efforts against heavily armed terrorists targeting a temple. The intensity of the siege and the emotional toll on the commandos blend real events with fictional heroic acts.

Sthal

Release date: October 10

This 2023 Marathi movie is finally coming to ZEE5 in October after making its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The drama, starring Nandini Chikte, highlights themes of patriarchy, societal pressures, and the struggles faced by brides in an arranged marriage system, set against the backdrop of a Vidharbha village, following the life of Savita who seeks education and a career desparately, while her father focuses on finding her a suitable husband.

Veduvan

This Tamil series blends action and drama that features Kanna Ravi and Sanjeev Venkat. The story follows Sooraj who's a struggling actor. He portrays an encounter specialist in his new project but his character begins to contradict with his real life, leading him to uncover hidden truths, betrayals, and moral dilemmas in a dangerous world of corruption. Sooraj discovers that his character is not just a simple encounters specialist, rather there's more to it which he must unravel before it engulfs him.
