Another Adipurush controversy: Writer Manoj Muntashir in big trouble after saying 'Hanuman bhagwan nahi hai'

Adipurush, which is directed by Om Raut is the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons. The Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon movie has drawn a lot of flak for a variety of reasons, including its dialogue, VFX, and characters. 

Not just the audience but a lot of well-known people have also criticised the makers on social media, especially for the dialogues. However, after the movie's release, Manoj Muntashir, the dialogue writer, received death threats; as a result, Mumbai Police gave him security. But his most recent comment regarding Lord Hanuman has once again drawn a lot of criticism.

In an interview with AajTak, Manoj said, "Woh (Bajrangbali) Shri Ram ki tarah baat nahi karte. Bajrangbali daarshanik baatein nahi kartein. Bajrangbali bhagwaan nahi, bhakt hai. Humne unko bhagwaan banaya baad mein kyuki unki bhakti mein wo power tha."

Well, even this statement by Manoj on Lord Hanuman didn't go well with the netizens and have irked them once again. A social media user commented, "Can we ban him for good, by going to the news channels, he is damaging the sentiments more." While another one said, "Omg, I can't believe this man is still not accepting his faults. It hurts. He is defending himself everywhere. He has written such dialogues intentionally."

Adipurush is directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series. On Friday (June 16), the movie was released nationwide in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil. Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh (Raavan), Kriti Sanon plays Janaki (Sita), and Prabhas plays Raghav (Ram) in the film.
