Anpodu Kanmani is out on OTT: Where to watch Arjun Ashokan's Malayalam family entertainer

Anpodu Kanmani, starring Arjun Ashokan, has landed on OTT, two months after its theatrical release. The Malayalam film, which tracks the story of a newlywedded couple, is now available for streaming on Prime Video. From the lead cast to the plot, here’s everything you need to know about the Arjun Ashokan-starrer. 

Anpodu Kanmani on Prime Video

Anpodu Kanmani, which released in theatres on January 26, 2025, started streaming on Prime Video on March 26. The film is only available in Malayalam with English subtitles.

When Anpodu Kanmani release in theatres in January, it did not create any waves at the box office. It remains to be seen if the Malayalam film, touted to be a family entertainer, will find an audience on the global streaming platform. 

Anpodu Kanmani cast and plot 

Directed by debutant Liju Thomaz, Anpodu Kanmani stars Arjun Ashokan and Anagha Narayanan in the lead roles of the newly-married couple - Nakulan and Shalini. Soon after the marriage, the young couple feel the pressure of delivering the good news.  

As the family pressure and societal expectations prove too difficult to handle, Nakulan and Shalini are forced to look at every option available. Things get to a tipping point that tests their love and faith. 

Apart from the lead pair, the film also features Maala Parvathi, Navas Vallikkunnu, Mridul Nair, and Althaf Saleem in key supporting roles. 

Arjun Ashokan’s films

Anpodu Kanmani is the second film of Arjun Ashokan to release in 2025. The first movie was Ennu Swantham Punyalan, which was released on January 10. He also had Bromance releasing on Valentine’s Day. 

The fun-filled film also featured several other young actors such as Mathew Thomas, Sangeeth Prathap, Mahima Nambiar, and Shyam Mohan. However, only Anpodu Kanmani has landed on OTT, while there is no official update about the digital release of Ennu Swantham Punyalan and Bromance.
