During the recent College Football Playoff National Championship, a brand-new, action-packed trailer for Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which hits theatres on February 17, 2023, appeared. The action-packed, big-screen adventure features Kang the Conqueror, the MCU's most powerful foe to date, and starts Phase 5 of the franchise.

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), who work together as Ant-Man and The Wasp, are back to continue their adventures. Together with Scott's daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) and Hope's parents, Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and setting out on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

In the movie, Scott Lang, Hope van Dyne, Hope's parents Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, and Lang's daughter Cassie go on a new journey that tests their limits and pits them against Kang the Conqueror.

Talking about Jonathan Major's character as supervillain Kang is an alternate-temporal version of He Who Remains, the character who founded the Time Variance Authority (TVA), which debuted in Loki's first season, who travels through time and is stranded in the Quantum Realm (2021). Michael Waldron, who was in charge of writing for Loki's first season, said that Kang was the next great MCU villain who would work with other characters. Majors said that Kang is different from He Who Remains, who is not in Quantumania, because he has a different mindset, is shown differently because of the different people around him, and has changed from a series to a film.
