Ant-Man fans, here’s some exciting news. The Marvel movie, starring Paul Rudd, will arrive sooner than expected. The makers have swapped the release dates of the sequels to Ant-Man and Captain Marvel movies.

The sequel to Captain Marvel movie, starring Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson, was earlier planned for a release on February 17, 2023, but it has now been pushed back to July 28, 2023, making space for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The reason for the swap reportedly is that Ant-Man is at an advanced stage in the production process, compared to the Captain Marvel movie.

Hence, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will now release on February 17, 2023, while the Captain Marvel sequel will hit the theatres on July 28, 2023.

This is the third part of the Ant-Man and the Wasp series, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The sequel will also be directed by Peyton Reed and will star Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors.

One the other hand, The Marvels or Captain Marvel 2 is a follow-up to 2019's Captain Marvel, starring Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Velani as Kamala Kahn/Ms. Marvel, as well as Disney+ Hotstar programmes’ WandaVision and Ms. Marvel. The first film of the franchise was a box office success, grossing more than $1.1 billion worldwide. Nia DaCosta will helm The Marvels.

And as expected, MCU is keeping majority of the film's details under wraps. But only these two films are expected to have the schedule change. The other films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe like the upcoming Benedict Cumberbatch’s movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be out as per the schedule. The film will release on May 6. While Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on July 8, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released on November 11. And on May 5, 2023, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released.

Furthermore, a slew of Marvel series are slated for release on Disney+ Hotstar, which is not likely to be affected by the film's release date adjustment.
