The makers of Saiju Kurup starrer Antakshari have released the film’s trailer. The trailer, which was released by Sony LIV, gives a glimpse of the thriller that looks quite impressive.

The trailer starts off with introducing Saiju Kurup as a police officer, who loves a good game of Antakshari, the music game. His habit is a topic of discussion for people around him, but the policeman does not care.

The trailer soon takes a dark and rather ambiguous turn, and shows multiple characters from the movie feeling emotions such as fear. The trailer ends rather interestingly, with the police officer seen playing the game, but with a lot at stake. While it is near impossible to make out what is happening in the story through the trailer, it hints at a film that will keep the viewers on the edge of their seats.

“A game that makes you reminisce about the good old days of your life, suddenly takes a turn. Will it depend on a mere game of Antakshari?,” reads the video’s description on YouTube.

Written and directed by Vipin Das, the movie is presented by filmmaker Jeethu Joseph, who is known for making enthralling thrillers that appeal to the audience, such as Drishyam and its sequel Drishyam 2.

Backed by Sulthan Brother’s Entertainments, the movie also stars Vijay Babu, Binu Pappu, Sudhi Koppa, Priyanka Nair, Sabareesh Varma, Kottayam Ramesh, and Jenny Pallath.

Antakshari is another film that is getting a direct OTT release on SonyLIV, following Dulquer Salmaan’s investigation thriller, Salute. Mammootty’s Puzhu is also set to stream on SonyLIV, but the release dates of both the movies are not yet confirmed.
