After a series of heavy, intense big-star films, it’s time to take a chill-pill with a light-hearted romantic comedy, Ante Sundaraniki. Starring Nani and Nazriya Fahadh in the lead, the film is written and directed by Vivek Athreya. The film releases in theatres across three languages - Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam - on June 10.

Ante Sundaraniki wrapped its pre-release formalities with the CBFC and was certified U on Saturday - a rarity these days. The biggest surprise has come with the runtime of the film, spanning close to three hours. This is easily the lengthiest film in the career of Nani but the director is confident that the duration will be a deterrent at the theatres.

In an interaction, the filmmaker said, “We’ve done what’s needed for the film and are confident that the audiences wouldn’t mind the length once they watch it. The length will not be an obstacle. The censor authorities had great things to say about the film.”

Nani and Nazriya are leaving no stone to promote the film across the Telugu states, Chennai and Kerala. While Nani plays the titular character Sundar, Nazriya is cast as an aspirant photographer, his romantic interest Leela Thomas. Nadhiya, Rohini, Naresh and Harshavardhan too play important roles in the film.

Three songs from the film, which has music by Vivek Sagar, are already out and have impressed music buffs with its fusion elements. Cinematographed by Niketh Bommi and edited by Raviteja Girijala, Ante Sundaraniki is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Y under Mythri Movie Makers.
