This is turning out to be an immensely competitive season for Telugu cinema with a big release every weekend. While Major and Vikram are still ruling the roost at the theatres, Nani and Nazriya are busy promoting their upcoming release, Ante Sundaraniki across Telugu states, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The film is releasing in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam on June 10.
The last leg of promotions for Ante Sundaraniki have begun with a bang, thanks to the promo song, Thandanaanandha, that was launched today. Shankar Mahadevan and Swetha Mohan have crooned for the number lyricised by Ramajogaiah Sastry. Vivek Sagar’s album also includes numbers like The Panchakattu song, Em Chitram and Rango Ranga.
Thandanaanandha is undoubtedly the best song that has come out of team Ante Sundaraniki to date. It’s a super-fun wedding number that captures the eccentricities among the families of a couple belonging to different religions. Nani and Nazriya are at their energetic best grooving to the charged-up vocals of Shankar Mahadevan and Swetha Mohan.
The finishing touch to the song is immensely appealing where Nani can’t spot the managalasutram and later tells that it doesn’t matter if he got married or not - having fun is the only priority. Nazriya too does her bit with a couple of one-liners in Telugu and is also joined by the director Vivek Athreya in a special appearance.
Nani and Nazriya tie the knot in both the Hindu and Christian styles here. Most of the actors in the film beyond the leads, Naresh, Rohini, Nadiya, N Alagan Perumal, find a place in the song as well. Ante Sundaraniki, with cinematography by Niketh Bommi, is produced by Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni under Mythri Movie Makers.
