Joshiy-directed Antony, starring Kalyani Priadarshan and Joju George, is slated to be released on December 1
Joju George and Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer Antony, helmed by Malayalam director Joshiy, is gearing up for release. Touted to be an action thriller, the teaser follows Antony (Joju), an enigmatic and fearless person, alongside his close-knit group of friends. The film, written by Rajesh Varma, is scheduled to hit the theatres on December 1.
Joju George starrer Antony to be released on December 1
The upcoming actioner, Antony, marks the second collaboration between Joshiy and Joju after Porinju Mariyam Jose (2019). Although the makers had initially announced the release date as November 17, it has now been said that the movie will hit the cinemas on December 1.
Antony’s plot, cast and crew
Going by the teaser, the story follows the journey of Antony and his friends. Kalyani plays a professional boxer in the film. Much like the legendary director’s previous projects, Antony hints at showcasing a realistic narrative, along with outlandish action sequences. The cast also features Chemban Vinod Jose and Nyla Usha in pivotal roles. Antony’s music is composed by Jakes Bejoy, while its cinematography and editing are handled by Renadive and Shyam Sasidharan, respectively.
Joju George’s upcoming projects
The Iratta star, who was last seen in Pulimada opposite Aishwarya Rajesh, is all set to foray into direction with the movie Pani. The project has been officially announced, and it turns out that Joju will be playing the lead role in his directorial debut. Touted to be a thriller, the film is based on a rivalry between two gangs.
Veteran cinematographer Venu will be handling the camera. The movie will feature Abhinaya as the female lead. Seema, Chandni Sreedhar, Prasanth Alexander, Babu Namboothiri and Bitto Davis are the other members of the cast.
Joshiy’s next action film with Mohanlal
Joshiy is all set to join forces with Mohanlal for Rambaan. The film is produced by Chemban Vinod Jose, and is scheduled to go on floors in mid 2024. The movie’s motion poster was shared earlier, featuring Mohanlal standing on top of a car with a sniper gun and hammer on either hand. The film is expected to hit the cinemas in 2025.
