In what's an unlikely combination coming together, Rajendra Prasad and Narasimha Raju play the lead roles in an emotional drama Anukoni Prayanam. Helmed by newcomer Venkatesh Pediredla, the film also stars actress Prema, Tulasi, Ravi Babu and others in crucial roles too. A medico by profession, Dr DY Jagan Mohan is bankrolling the film under Apple Creations. Commemorating Rajendra Prasad's birthday, the film's teaser was unveiled by legendary director K Raghavendra Rao today.
The teaser showcases Rajendra Prasad as an orphan, who works as a labourer. He shares a great rapport with a co-worker, played by Narasimha Raju. Rajendra Prasad plays a fun-loving middle-aged man who loves to dress up well for his job, lives life in the moment. Narasimha Raju asks Rajendra Prasad to come to his village. While his journey commences, there are unexpected twists. Ravi Babu plays a cop and Tulasi is an elderly woman in the same. Prema's character remains a suspense.
How does a journey change the lead character's life? Rajendra Prasad cheekily ends the teaser by confirming that the film is coming to theatres soon, referencing a dialogue. Noted producer Bekkem Venugopal is the presenter. The film's first single, Ye Kadhanu Ye Kanchiki, sung by Shankar Mahadevan, was launched recently. S Siva Dinavahi has composed the music. At a press meet, the director told that the film is a story of two friends, inspired by a few incidents during COVID-19 lockdown.
The film has cinematography by Mallikarjun Naragani, while Paruchuri Brothers have written the dialogues. Anukoni Prayanam is edited by Ram Tumu. Manikumar Patrudu is the executive producer and Suresh Bhimagani is the art director respectively.
