The Kashmir Files is seeing great success across the country, and is becoming one of the most popular films in the country today. Anupam Kher has now opened up to clear the air around Vivek Agnihotri’s allegations over Kapil Sharma not inviting their film team on his show.
Talking to Times Now, Kher said, ”The film is very serious, I do not want to be a part of the show. But I have to say, Kapil does not have any malice towards us or towards the film,".
Following his comments, Sharma also took to Instagram to thank the actor for clearing the air. “Thank you paji @anupampkher for clarifying all the false allegations against me”, he wrote.
A few days ago, director Agnhotri replied to a fan's tweet, stating that Kapil Sharma did not invite him or the film’s team to his show, saying that The Kashmir Files does not have any commercial stars.
The director's comments attracted a lot of heat towards Sharma and his show. Fans even took to social media to call for a boycott of The Kapil Sharma Show.
Co-written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film is based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir Insurgency in 1990.
The movie received mixed reviews, with the performance of the cast being praised. “When you realise that the film is attempting to show everything, you wish they had spent time on making you feel that loss, that pain of perhaps one or a few families.” reads the film’s review on OTTPlay.
Proving to be a box office winner, the movie is now available in theatres across the country.
