Anupam Kher poses with Alia Bhatt at the Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani wedding reception, recalls teasing her about being a 'born actress'

Bollywood stars gathered to celebrate Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani's lavish wedding reception in Mumbai, where they had a great time together. Anupam Kher was delighted to meet Alia Bhatt at the event. Additionally, they posed together for photos.

Anupam recounted how he used to tease Alia by calling her a "born actor" when she was in school while posting a photo of Alia from Sidharth and Kiara's wedding reception on his Instagram page.

Kher and Mahesh Bhatt, Alia's father, have a particular bond. Anupam's Bollywood career was established by Mahesh Bhatt when he cast him in Saaransh, his directorial.

Speaking of Anupam's forthcoming movies, he will appear in The Vaccine War by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and Emergency, Kangana Ranaut's first full-fledged directorial effort. His recent release, Shiv Shastri Balboa, is currently being screened in theatres. Neena Gupta, Nargis Fakhri, and Sharib Hashmi also appear in the movie.

Meanwhile, Alia is getting ready to make her big Hollywood debut in the upcoming action movie Heart of Stone, where she will be seen alongside Gal Gadot. The first film in a planned series modelled after Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible, Heart of Stone, is directed by Tom Harper. Along with Gal, Jamie Dornan, and Alia, the film also features Sophie Okonedo, Matthias Schweighofer, Jing Lusi, and Paul Ready. On August 11, the film will be available on Netflix.

Alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, Alia will appear in the Karan Johar film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
