‘This man will do anything to succeed... even fail’ is how his inspiring one-act play ‘Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’ describes the potential and the stuff that Anupam Kher is made up of. At an age where most of the people have walking sticks as their companions, Anupam Kher is hitting the gym with a vengeance. What more proof we need from this man, who is a living example to the adage, ‘Age is just a number’. After having done some of the most remarkable films in Bollywood, Anupam Kher is now all set to star in a film that’s been made for the OTT. The quirky, slice of life film has been titled as ‘Vijay 69’.

As per a media note, the film ‘Vijay 69’ will basically narrate the life of a sexagenarian man, (aptly played by Anupam Kher), who decides to compete in a triathlon contest at the age of 69! The film will be directed by Akshay Roy. For all those who find the name ringing a bell, let us tell you that, Akshat Roy is the same person who had directed YRF’s ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’. Beides that, he had also worked on films like Mira Nair’s ‘The Namesake’, Aamir Khan’s directorial debut ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and Deepa Mehta’s Water as an Assistant Director.

The film ‘Vijay 69’ being produced by Maneesh Sharma, who had previously directed the sweeper hit ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ and had produced ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ & ‘Sui Dhaaga : Made In India’. Maneesh Sharma, presently, is busy with the direction of YRF Spy Universe’s ‘Tiger 3’, the film which stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. Speaking of ‘Tiger 3’, by now, everyone knows that Shah Rukh Khan will be making a very special appearance in the film. The latest update about Shah Rukh Khan is that he will be shooting for his cameo in Tiger 3 from May 8 this year.
