Anupam Mittal has spoken about Shark Tank India’s biggest controversy. Let us correct ourselves, the businessman actually laughed off this controversy because, according to him, it does not even call for a controversy. The statement he made is actually how a small percentage of people feel about the show.
While talking to RJ Siddharth Kanan, Anupam Mittal, who was a judge on Shark Tank India, laughed about the show’s biggest controversy. He pointed out how a small percentage of people are comparing Shark Tank India to Shark Tank US.

Anupam called it an ‘elitist’ view and pointed out how people feel that the judges are ‘ruining the image of start-ups’. The entrepreneur then stated that it was stupid to even compare the two because India has a different set of emotions attached to the concept of Shark Tank.
He then compared Kaun Banega Crorepati with Who Wants To Be A Billionaire. Anupam said that both the shows are also completely different from one another and thus, it isn’t fair to compare Shark Tank India and Shark Tank US either.
Anupam Mittal is the CEO of People group. He is the founder of India’s biggest matrimonial website, Shaadi.com.
On the show, Anupam almost always led the pack as he sat as a judge and tried to understand the pitches presented by the start-up companies who came to Shark Tank India without jumping the gun immediately. While Ashneer Grover was almost always instantly frank about his opinions, Peyush Bansal showed his support towards most start-ups, followed by Aman Gupta.
Shark Tank India also featured Namita Thapar, Ghazal Alagh and Vineeta Singh as the judges, apart from all the males mentioned above. The show streamed on Sony LIV and came to an end in the previous week.
