Anupama- Namaste America: Sudhanshu Pandey unveils plot; says the show has given him a lot of popularity amongst the masses

Anupamaa has become one of the most viewed daily soaps on television. The Rupali Ganguly starrer is now gearing up for its prequel show that is set to stream on OTT soon. Sudhanshu Pandey, who plays the character of Anupamaa's husband Vanraj, has recently revealed the plot of the upcoming series and also mentioned how it has given him a lot of popularity amongst the masses, especially the middle-class audience.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the Robot 2.0 actor unveiled the story of the upcoming prequel to the popular show and said that Anupamaa has been dreaming compete in a dance competition in the US as she has been a trained dancer as per the show.

He further mentioned that the story takes the audience back to Anupamaa and Vanraj's 17 years old story. "The story will revolve around a couple of things, one of which, a very prominent reason, is that she wants to go to America for a dancing event," the actor added.

The actor further told the portal that Anupamaa has been a turning point in his career and it has given him a lot of popularity amongst the masses, especially the middle-class audience. He recalled that he has done more than 45 films with multiple big stars including Rajinikanth and Jackie Chan, but the Star Plus show has gathered his fame at a vast level.

Meanwhile, Mahadev fame Puja Banerjee is all set to star alongside Sudhanshu and Rupali in the forthcoming prequel, while Gaurav Khanna will be reprising his character from the first season as well. Madalsa Sharma, Nidhi Shah and Paras Kalnawat are also going to be a part of the Anupama: Namaste America. Directed by Rajan Shahi, the forthcoming web series has been backed by the filmmaker himself along with Deepa Shahi.

Anupamaa: Namaste America is all set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar on April 25.
