Anupamaa: Dimple and Anupama are cornered by the goons

Anupama decides to take Dimple to the dance academy, taking a shortcut through the colony the Shahs live in. They go by Baa’s house and Anupama introduces Leela to Dimple. As she explains that Dimple will help out at the dance academy until the trial is over, Baa asks if Dimple would stay with the Kapadias until then, leaving Dimple hurt.

As Dimple explains that she has no one and that her parents consider her as good as dead, Pakhi intervenes and says that her situation is somewhat similar. She introduces herself as Anupama’s ex-daughter to Dimple.

Pakhi creates a scene in the colony when she declares that Anupama seems to care more about helping society than she does her own daughter. Baa’s neighbours also side with Pakhi, until Anupama shuts them up.

As she talks about the reasons for kicking out Pakhi, the latter declares that she does not want to ‘live like a maid’ like Anupama did, and says that Adhik will take care of her. Anupama is frustrated with her daughter, and compares her to Dimple, who tries to be independent despite what happened. When Dimple comes to Anupama’s defence, Pakhi storms off.

Baa warns that Anupama might not be able to fulfil her responsibilities towards her daughter, in the midst of trying to take care of Dimple. Anupama defends Dimple. Baa refuses to let Dimple inside the house, and Anupama makes up an excuse and leaves.

Anupama visits Pakhi at her home, and becomes hurt when the latter says that Anupama does nothing to deserve the title of mother. Despite Pakhi’s taunts, Anupama asks Pakhi to take care of herself and leaves behind a cake.

The police tell Anuj that the boys come from influential families and it is very hard to bring them to justice, and ask Anuj to be prepared for anything.

Dimple and Anupama are confronted by the goons in a market, who brandish guns and taunt them. When the police tell Anuj that the goons are out on bail, he rushes to Anupama’s side.
