Anupamaa: Samar announces that he will not get married

The last few episodes of Anupamaa saw the Kapadias and Kinjal go through some tough times. After being on the verge of losing Choti Anu, the Kapadias take the next few days to heal and spend time with family. As the Kanya Pujon day arrives, the Kapadias are invited by the Shahs to their home.

Anupama and Anuj are visited by some of the former’s old neighbours, who invite the couple for a Garba event. They inform them that the entire proceeds from the same will go towards funding the education of girls, and, touched by the gesture, Anuj writes them a cheque. Barkha decides to cause a little trouble, and tells the women about how badly the Shahs had treated Anupama, and how she had refrained from badmouthing them even though it was what they deserved.

Back at the Shah house, the family starts discussing the topic of finding a suitable match for Samar. Baa remarks that Samar’s wedding should take place as quickly as possible, before the news of Kinjal and Paritosh’s impending divorce becomes the talk of the town. Samar shocks everyone when he declares that he does not want to get married.

Anupama’s second son talks about how he felt scared and how he had lost faith in love after witnessing the tumultuous relationships in his family. He also talks about getting his heart broken by Nandini. While the Shahs try to convince him to reconsider, Rakhi agrees with Samar. In the end, Kinjal talks to Samar about the importance of love and trust in a relationship, and cites Anuj and Anupama as an example. Samar reluctantly agrees to go and see the girl his family has found out for him.

During the Kanya Pujon, Choti Anu is also worshipped along with Pari. Vanraj and Anupama forbid Paritosh from participating in the celebrations. A vengeful Paritosh seems to plan something sinister to get payback.
