Anupamaa: The Shahs rally around Anupama for Choti Anu

The latest episode of Anupamaa saw a rare moment of solidarity between the Shahs and Kapadias, when the matter came to Choti Anu’s well being. When officials from the foster agency came to take Choti Anu away from Anupama and Anuj, following Paritosh’s anonymous complaint, the whole family became shocked and afraid of losing the young girl. The foster agency officials claim that they got a complaint that Choti Anu is not being well taken care of, and refer to the incident where she had gone missing while playing hide and seek.

As Anupama and Anuj pleaded with the officials to not take away Choti Anu, each and every one of the Shahs supported Anupama, and talked about what an amazing mother she is. The Shahs even join the Kapadias in joining their hands to request that Choti Anu not be taken away. Seeing everyone making a case for Choti Anu to stay with the couple, the foster agency officials relent and decide that the anonymous caller had been wrong and leave Choti Anu with Anupama and Anuj.

While celebrating their win, Anupama notices Paritosh’s strange behavior and correctly deduces that he was responsible for the chaos. She confronts his son, and even Anuj loses his cool and unleashes his protective side as he slaps Paritosh.

When Vanraj also confronts Paritosh, the latter confesses about what he did, and proclaims that he wanted to make Anupama feel the same pain that he is in, being faced with the prospect of losing his wife and daughter. Paritosh shows no remorse for what he did, even after Vanraj angrily scolds him for not taking Choti Anu’s well-being into consideration. Vanraj profusely apologises to Anuj for what Paritosh did. As Anupama and Anuj turn to leave, she says that Paritosh needs to proceed with caution, in case a moment arrives where he has to reap what he sows.
