Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is excited that his latest film, Kennedy, has been receiving a lot of appreciation from global audiences. The film was first screened at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and was most recently screened at the ongoing Sydney Film Festival.

Sharing his gratitude for a positive response to his film, Anurag said, "I am absolutely delighted to see the audience response to Kennedy at the prestigious Sydney Film Festival. The overwhelming love and appreciation from the audience at Cannes and now in Sydney has been truly heartwarming. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire cast and crew, who have poured their hearts into bringing this story to life. I am immensely grateful for the support and recognition that Kennedy is getting across the world."

The film is produced by Zee Studios and Good Bad Films. Talking about Kennedy's success, CEO of Zee Studios, Shariq Patel, said, "I take extreme pride in witnessing the remarkable hard work and dedication put in by Team Kennedy. The thunderous applause we received at the Grande Lumiere Theatre was just the beginning, and now, at the Sydney Film Festival, it is clear that the film is completely unstoppable."

The producer feels that such global recognition and appreciation validate the countless hours of commitment and creativity that went into making the project a reality. He said that he is thrilled to witness its continued triumph on the international stage.

It is interesting to note that Anurag joined the Sydney Film Festival as the head of the jury for the main competition section this year. The filmmaker will be joined by actor Mia Wasikowska (Australia), film curator and journalist Dorothee Wenne (Germany), writer and director Larissa Behrendt (Australia), and filmmaker Visakesa Chandrasekaran (Australia/Sri Lanka).

Kennedy is a noir cop drama that stars Rahul Bhatt, Sunny Leone, Megha Burman, Abhilash Thapliyal, and Mohit Takalkar.
