Anurag Kashyap is back to Tamil cinema after four years, with Sundar C's One 2 One

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap returns to Tamil cinema after Imaikka Nodigal (2018) with Sundar C's One 2 One. Directed by Thirugnanam, who had previously helmed Trisha's Paramapatham Vilaiyattu, this one is said to be an action-thriller. According to a report, published by The Times of India, the makers had been shooting at the metro railway station in Koyambedu for the past one week. A source tells OTTplay, “Anurag Kashyap is playing the baddie. His role in One 2 One will be deadlier than what he played in Imaikaa Nodigal.”

Thirugnanam shares with The Times of India, “Sundar C plays an assistant general manager in a bank. The villain wants something from the bank and tries to get it through the hero by creating trouble for him. Whether the hero succumbs to the villain's demands or succeeds forms the plot.” The director adds, “The Koyambedu metro is a great location to shoot in. After seeing the first shot, even Sundar sir remarked that the frame looks good wherever you place the camera!”

It looks like Anurag Kashyap equally had a great experience shooting One 2 One. "It was quick and flexible. We shot a sequence in which my character follows the protagonist around!"

Speaking about One 2 One, Sundar C said he likes to shoot on trains. He goes on to add, “Ninety per cent of the films that were shot on trains have become hits. I hope our film will join the list, too. Though it feels nice, from a production perspective, it is a nightmare. But the crew managed to get all the permissions ahead of time so that everything fell into place smoothly. Working with Anurag has been fantastic. We shared the experiences we have had on the films we have made.”

One 2 One has Chaams, in a pivotal role. The film has cinematography by SK Bhoopathy Karthik.

Anurag is currently directing Dobaaraa, which stars Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati, in important roles.

Sundar C, on the other hand, has a long lineup of films including Pattampoochi, Vallaan and Thalai Nagaram 2.

One 2 One is rumoured to have the Kannada actor Ragini Dwivedi playing the leading lady. However, we await an official word.
