At France’s Cannes Film Festival, the red carpet is set to welcome celebrities across the globe. This time, as many as four Indian films have made it to the official selection at the festival. These are namely Agra, Titli, Kennedy, and Ishanhou. Not only this, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur will address the inaugural session through a video message to showcase India as a global hub for content creation at the 76th edition of Cannes's festival.

The event is slated to take place for a period of about 10 days starting from today and is expected to culminate on May 27. Incredibly this time, over 10 Indian celebrities will walk down the red carpet of the festival thereby making India proud in the global sphere.

Here is a list of celebs who will be attending the prestigious event in France.

1. Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma's presence was confirmed by the French Embassy in India earlier this month.

2. Manushi Chillar

Manushi Chhillar, the winner of the Miss World 2017 pageant, is all set to attend the festival. Her presence has been confirmed by the Government of India.

3. Guneet Monga

Producer Guneet Monga won the 2023 Academy Award-winning documentary short film The Elephant Whisperers. Her presence at the event is confirmed by the Government of India.

4. Esha Gupta

Representing Indian culture, actor Gupta is all set to make her Cannes debut. In 2022, she was seen in the web series Aashram. Her presence at the event is confirmed by the Government of India.

5. Kangabam Tomba

An acclaimed Manipuri actor, whose restored film ‘Ishanau’, is being screened in Cannes Classic Section this year. For this reason, the actor will mark his attendance at the event. This development is confirmed by the Government of India.

6. Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan is set to make her Cannes Film Festival 2023 debut. The popular Bollywood actor will next be seen in the film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.

7. Urvashi Rautela

Popular actor-model is headed to France to attend the festival, said a statement by the actor's firm. She gained prominence after winning the title of Miss Diva Universe 2015.

8. Vijay Varma

For the unversed, Varma has acted in critically-acclaimed roles in MCA, Gully Boy, Baaghi 3, Darlings and two web series Mirzapur and She. And now, the Bollywood star is ready to walk on the red carpet. 

9. Dolly Singh

Popular social media influencer Dolly Singh is all set to make her debut at the prestigious event. HT City also confirmed the development. 

10. Shannon Kumar Sanu

Daughter of singing legend Kumar Sanu, Shannon is all set to walk down the red carpet. She confirmed the development to a news portal.

11. Mrunal Thakur 

Actor Mrunal Thakur is all set to make her much-awaited debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year. In a statement, the actress said that she is absolutely excited.

12. Aditi Rao Hydari

The actor was last seen on screen in the Tamil film Hey Sinamika (2022). And now, she is all ready to attend the festival.

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L.Murugan will lead an Indian Delegation to Cannes International Film Festival this year. The India Pavilion is being conceptualised and designed by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad with the theme - ‘Showcasing India’s Creative Economy’ to the global community.
