Anushka Shetty's Ghaati locks a new release date, Vikram Prabhu plays the main lead

After the success of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, Anushka Shetty did not sign any new film for a while. Months later, she gave the green light to a project titled Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, who previously worked with her on Vedham.

Ghaati is finally ready for a release

Not many know that the film's shoot wrapped up a long time ago, and it was initially scheduled to release in April 2025. However, that didn’t happen, and there was no official word on why the makers postponed the release.

Now, the latest update is that the makers have locked a new release date. Ghaati, a social drama, will hit the screens on July 11, 2025. A stylish new poster featuring the leads, Vikram Prabhu and Anushka Shetty, was unveiled to announce the release date.

Anushka, known for films like Vaanam and Astram, has been maintaining a low profile and didn’t attend a single promotional event for Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. Fans speculate that she may remain absent from Ghaati’s promotions as well.

Director Krish is also known for Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which faced delays. Due to the prolonged production timeline, he stepped away from the Pawan Kalyan film and shifted focus to Ghaati.

A teaser of Ghaati was released earlier, showcasing Anushka Shetty as a tribal woman on a killing spree. The new poster hints at a rustic action drama presented in a raw and realistic style.

Ghaati has been produced on a grand scale by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments. Music for the film is composed by Vidya Sagar.
