Tovino Thomas, the versatile actor teamed up with filmmaker Darwin Kuriakose for his latest outing, Anweshippin Kandethum. The movie, which is an out-and-out police investigation thriller, has opened to positive reviews. Tovino Thomas has appeared in the role of SI Anand Narayanan, a young police officer who investigates a murder case, along with his team of subordinates.
As reported earlier, Anweshippin Kandethum has made a decent opening at the box office, by making a total collection of around Rs. 1.2 crore. When it completed the first 2 days of its release, the cop thriller is holding strong, and is gearing up to have an impressive first weekend at the box office.

As per the recent reports from trade experts, the Tovino Thomas-starrer has performed slightly better than its release day on Day 2, at the box office. Reportedly, Anweshippin Kandethum has made a total worldwide collection of around Rs 1.50 crore on its second day of release, thanks to the extra shows and rave reviews. Now, it has been confirmed that the Darwin Kuriakose directorial has crossed Rs 2.7 crore mark at the box office.

An impressive first weekend is on cards
In that case, it is safe to assume that Anweshippin Kandethum is gearing up to have an impressive first weekend at the worldwide box office. Considering the increasing audience rush and positive reviews, a great Sunday is on the cards for Tovino Thomas’ cop thriller. When it completes the first weekend of its release, the Darwin Kuriakose directorial is expected to make a total collection of Rs 4.5 to 5 crore from the worldwide box office.
About the film
The investigation thriller features a stellar supporting cast, including Siddique, Indrans, Shammi Thilakan, Baburaj, Arthana Binu, and others. The project is penned by renowned director-writer, Jinu V Abraham. Santhosh Narayanan, the renowned Tamil musician composed the songs and original score for the movie. Anweshippin Kandethum, which is jointly bankrolled by the banners Yoodle Films and Theatre Of Dreams, is expected to have its OTT release in March 2024, after completing its theatrical run.
