Aparajito-actor Jeetu Kamal on his divorce from Nabanita Das: I’ll always be there for her

Actor Jeetu Kamal is all set to fly to the UK early next week. Meanwhile, on Thursday, his wife, Nabanita Das, took to social media to announce the end of their married life. According to sources, they have filed for mutual divorce and are staying separated for three months now. 

In a chat with OTTplay, Jeetu said that he would remain a support for Nabanita no matter what the future holds. “She is very young – way younger than me. I value her and understand her emotion. I have always treated her with care and continue to do so. She is special, and if ever she needs my help or support, I will be there,” said the actor, adding that he would not like to talk about divorce or separation. 

Jeetu further added that after living and loving each other for a long time, ‘one can never think bad things about their partner.’ “I respect and value relationships, and I don’t feel anything disrespectful. My wife is young and emotional. I respect that,” said the actor. 

Meanwhile, Nabanita posted an emotional message on Facebook. Later, Jeetu also posted another message. They met on the set of Ardhangini and later, tied the knot in May 2019. According to sources, after the success of Aparajito, Jeetu started having a tight schedule. According to their friends, lack of time created a rift between them.
