Apatrajito actress Saayoni Ghosh tests Covid positive

Tollywood is once again under Covid threat once again. Aaparajito actress Saayoni Ghosh has tested Covid pos Despite being a much milder version of its predecessors, Covid 19 cases are lying around 18-20,000 per day. The actress took to her social media handle to make people aware of her physical condition. She has also asked people, who she met in the last few days, to do the test. 

On her Instagram handle, Saayoni wrote, “Dear all, today I tested Covid positive. Although I continue to remain mostly asymptomatic with minimum fever, caught & cold, I request everyone who came in contact with me in the past 24-48 hours to get themselves tested. I apologise for having to cancel a few social, political and cultural activities in the next few days. I hope to bounce back with greater zeal and Better health asap. Love and light.”

The Covid cases have been going up in Bengal. Though the number of hospitalisations has been generally low. The reported common symptoms of the current variant are fever, sore throat, body aches 7and headache. 

In a recent interview with OTTplay, the actress said that she was overwhelmed with the response that Aparajito got her. “We all knew that this was going to be a great film. We also thought that people would love it. However, the response that we got is beyond all our expectations. Honestly, I thought the film would be appreciated only by a niche audience and film buffs. In reality, the film seemed to have worked for everybody.”

The film has recently won a special jury Award at the BRICS Film Festival 2022.
