Apharan 2 trailer: Arunoday Singh’s Rudra fears turning into Superman

Apharan 2’s trailer, unveiled by the makers, brings back Arunoday Singh in the role of inspector Rudra Shrivastava. While the teaser did tell you that something major is going on in his life, the trailer of this series is way beyond the expectations. Rudra compares himself to Superman and many other movie characters.

As soon as the trailer commences, we hear Rudra talk about Amitabh Bachchan in Deewar. He then says that he’s not even close to Shashi Kapoor from the movie.

Many action scenes follow in the trailer but all in glimpses. The action ranges from a simple slap to using snipers to kill. The trailer definitely promises something big in that aspect.

The hilarious elements are still intact in the trailer. The scene where Rudra says, “Hum toh uske Shashi Kapoor bhi nahi the,” will definitely make you laugh. Arunoday’s expressions in the scene help a great deal with that.

Nidhi Singh, who plays the role of Rudra’s wife Ranjana Srivastava, is finally here. Her entry and scenes are bawaal. Her dialogue, “Humein behne do,” fits the theme of the series like hand-in-a-glove.

The terror follows and you get more idea about how serious things are about to get this time around. The series is most definitely OTT and does not care two cents about speaking exactly what the scene demands. It is what has made Apharan so different from other shows since the beginning.

The music in the series, inspired from the classic 80s Bollywood, will take you on a nostalgic trip. In fact, veteran actor Jeetendra also makes an appearance in the series.

The superman dialogue comes at the end of the 2.06 minute trailer and it further talks about Rudra’s ‘jhand qismat’. The dialogue is intriguing and makes you think what exactly happened in Rudra’s life.

Apharan season 1 is streaming on Ekta Kapoor’s AltBalaji and MX Player. However, the second season will be available on Voot. The show will be available from March 18.
