Arunoday and Ekta then reveal that the teaser for the show will be out on February 24. The promo revealed that the teaser will be out at 12 pm. Currently, there is no physical or virtual launch event for the same.

Apart from Arunoday, Mahie Gill played the lead role in Apharan. The story, however, revolves around inspector Rudra (Arunoday) who is currently serving his time in prison. Rudra has been falsely imprisoned since three years. The story around the murder he is accused of, unfolds in the first season. The plot of the second season is not yet revealed.

Not just Arunoday and Mahie, Apharan also starred Permanent Roommates star Nidhi Singh in a pivotal role. She was seen as Rudra’s wife, Ranjana Srivastava. Varun Badola played the role of Laxman Saxena in the hit AltBalaji series.

Apharan originally aired on AltBalaji and MX Player. Both the platforms are currently going to stream Kangana Ranaut-hosted show Lock Upp for 72 days straight. Thus, Apharan’s rights were sold to Voot Select.

Whether the show will be available on AltBalaji and MX Player later is still unclear. However, that is unlikely to happen, at least at the moment.
