Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel Kid had been hitting headlines for making her debut in Ibrahim Ali Khan-Khushi Kapoor's Nadaaniyan. While her social media had been silent despite the movie being her debut as much as Ibrahim's, she has now put an end to the silence. The Rebel Kid has made her comeback, and it has got to do with both Nadaaniyan as well as the India's Got Latent controversy.
Apoorva Mukhija did return to Instagram for a post, but through her broadcast channel, Rebellions. She actually had a thank you message for her fans, along with a red heart. "This is not how I should be right now, diwaaro ke bhi kaan hote hain," she wrote in two different lines.
The India's Got Latent controversy commenced with Ranveer Allahbadia passing a comment on parents having s**. He asked if the kids should sleep it off or join once and stop it forever. The government did not take light of the question and insisted that the matter be taken to court. Since The Rebel Kid was also a guest on the show, she got dragged into the matter and has been called for questioning many-a-times. She has avoided the media altogether, including not posting on her social media handles, till now. This comes after netizens have been pointing out how Apoorva's performance was better than even Khushi Kapoor's in the movie and she deserves better than the silence.
Not just Apoorva, even Ashish Chanchlani and Jaspreet Singh got dragged into the controversy. Samay Raina, who ran India's Got Latent, was forced to pull down the videos from his channel. Ranveer, better known as BeerBiceps, on the other hand, has been allowed to continue his podcasts provided he kept away from dark humour.
If you have watched Nadaaniyan, there was another offering which you definitely cannot miss out on. That is the Malayalam crime-thriller Rekhachithram. Available on SonyLIV via OTTplay Premium, this one is a recommended watch. So, do not miss out!
