Appathava Aattaya Pottutanga: New single of posthumous release of Chandra Hassan to be launched by Silambarasan

Appathava Aattaya Pottutanga marks the posthumous release of the late actor Chandra Hassan. Its trailer was earlier released by Vijay Sethupathi that featured the veteran actor in a romantic avatar which ended up with fans getting even more excited for the film. After the first single Enna Elavu Kathal, the second single is en route to get released by celebrities that include Silambarasan and director Seenu Ramasamy.

Other prominent personalities who would be joining them at the launch of the second single of the late actor’s release are director Mari Selvaraj, producer Archana Kalpathi (of AGS Cinemas) and PRO Nikil Murugan, who has worked for several commercial films like RRR and Radhe Shyam. The song will be out tomorrow at 11 am.

Talking about Appathava Aattaya Pottutanga, the movie revolves around an aged couple who believes that love has no age and decides to follow their hearts. Played by the late actor Chandra Hassan and Sheela, the upcoming rom-com flick is touted to be a feel good film. The movie was in the works for almost four years after the unfortunate demise of the veteran actor in 2017. It will now finally see the light of day this Friday.

Chandra Hassan’s brother Kamal Haasan took to social media earlier to share a heartfelt message about his brother. He talked about the former’s acting talent that is finally being showcased after years. Appathava Aattaya Pottutanga will feature the veteran actor in the lead role.

The rom-com is helmed by N Stephen Rangaraj and backed by Dr. J Jasmine under the banner of GB Studio Films. S Selvakumaar has composed the tunes for the movie.

Appathava Aattaya Pottutanga will be released on October 8 on SonyLIV.
