The sci-fi series tells the story of how different people are affected by an alien invasion

It seems the aliens are not done with Earth just yet, as the Apple TV+ show Invasion has been renewed for another season. The news regarding the show’s renewal was announced recently, just as the first season is about to air its finale. The final episode of season one of the show will premiere on December 10.
The show tells the story of an alien invasion viewed through the perspective of different people. The characters on the show come from different backgrounds and include a sheriff who is about to retire, a family of Syrian immigrants consisting of a mother and her two children, as well as a soldier stationed in Afghanistan. The different characters are also residents of different parts of the world.
Invasion stars Golshifteh Farahani, Shamier Anderson, Shioli Kutsuna, Firas Nassar, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Tara Moayedi, Daisuke Tsuji and Sam Neill.
The show was created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil. Kinberg is popular for his work on X-Men: Days of Futures Past and Star Wars Rebels. According to Variety, the filmmaker had expressed his elation at the news of the show’s renewal, thanking Apple and fans for their unwavering support. He also teased that season two would feature an expansion in the show’s universe in a way that was ‘epic’ and ‘intimate’.
