Yes! It is my 63rd birthday…I'm very excited!

Do you know the history behind ‘April Fool’s Day’?
I have heard that there was a cat called Radha Sharma and she said she wanted one day a year to call everyone a fool. She chose April 1, because it was the birthday of St Binod, in his honour it is celebrated as ‘April Fool’s Day’.

Have you ever been fooled on April 1? If yes, then, who and how?
I get fooled very easily. You don't have to wait for April 1 only to fool me. All my ex-boyfriends will testify.

Did you ever fool anyone? If yes, then, who and how?
No, I don't. It goes against my value system.

Where do you get your inspiration from to fool people on April Fool’s Day?
From the chameleon - (‘girgit’ in Hindi). They change colours so effortlessly … And lyre birds...they can mimic any sound!

Have you ever repeated your April Fool’s Day pranks on people?
I am an extremely morbid human. I never prank anyone.

Have you ever encountered / heard of an incident about April Fool’s Day which went too far and had its dire consequences?
Yes. I once pretended to be this girl Adah Sharma. Everyone believed and still believes I am her.

Do you think that, with the advent of social media, there are too many pranks?
Yes. I think there should be a law where you have to either choose social media or choose pranks. Unless you are vegan… then you should be allowed to participate in both.

There are also a few prank videos which result in having adverse effects. Do you think that such videos should be banned?
I think yes… some people also have adverse effects and those people should definitely be banned.

What is it that you want to tell everyone out there on the ‘occasion’ of April Fool’s Day?
Over 80 million bacteria can be exchanged with just one kiss!
