Noted composer Gantadi Krishna made a name for himself in the early 2000s with hit albums like 6 Teens and Sampangi to his credit. He’s returning to action with Leharaayi, a film starring Ranjith, Soumya Menon, Gagan Vihari in key roles. The romance is written and directed by Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Maddireddy Srinivas is bankrolling the film under SLS Movies.

A new song from the film, Apsarasa, a melody, was launched earlier today. Sung by Bigg Boss Telugu contestant Revanth, the number has lyrics by Shreemani and is choreographed by Ajay Sai. The song, filmed on the lead actors Ranjith and Soumya Menon amidst picturesque locations across the country, makes for a pleasing watch.

The opening lines of the song read, “Nuvvunna Prathi Chota ..Nenuntanu Neeventa …Nuvvannade Na Mata Vinamanta…Apsarasa Apsarasa…Na Kanta Enduko Paddave Apsarasa…Apsarasa Apsarasa Na Gunde Chappudu.” The lyricist has used simple, effective wordplay that seamlessly blends with the composition.

Revanth, who is more popular for his fast-paced dance numbers, impresses with the soothing duet that has all the makings of an ‘instant mood-booster’. Rao Ramesh, Naresh, Ali, Satyam Rajesh and Jabardasth Ramprasad too play important roles in Leharaayi. The shoot of the romance was wrapped up recently and post-production activity has already commenced.

Other popular lyricists like Ramajogaiah Sastri, Kasarla Shyam, Uma Mahesh and Pandu Thaneeru have also contributed to the album. MN Bal Reddy has cranked the camera for the film edited by Prawin Pudi. Writer Paruchuri Naresh has also worked on Leharaayi, which has stunt choreography by Shankar. Popular audio label Tips has acquired the film’s music rights.
