AR Murugadoss confirms Salman Khan's Sikandar runtime; all you need to know

Salman Khan-led Sikandar is an action entertainer that is set to be released on Sunday, March 30, 2025, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss. Just a few days before the film's release in just ten days, the makers will send the finished cut to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Sikandar duration and runtime details
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Murugadoss revealed some details about the duration of the Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna–led Sikandar and verified that the cut is locked. The filmmaker shared that the film clocks in at roughly 1 hour and fifteen minutes for the first half and around 1 hour and five minutes for the second half. According to Murugadoss, the total running time is around two hours and 20 minutes.
Additionally, the filmmaker has clarified what the audience can expect from the trailer, which is almost complete. It is their intention to please the first-day, first-show audience with the trailer. Beyond that, though, they would want to stress that Sikandar is much more than a commercially successful film; it's also a memorable piece of entertainment. He continued by saying that from Salman fans to the masses, classes, and the family audience, they are targeting all sections of audiences with this emotionally charged film.
Trailer release and advance bookings
Just in case you were wondering, the Sikandar trailer is supposed to be released on either March 22 or March 23, which will also announce the launch of advance bookings. When pressed for more story details by the entertainment portal, Murugadoss remained tight-lipped. Although he was unable to provide any plot details, he said that this is a mass-market film that will appeal to movie buffs, families, and Salman fans alike. With Sikandar, they have reached every demographic.
In 2006, Murugadoss expressed interest in directing Salman in Ghajini. Since then, the two have been in talks about collaborating. Unfortunately, each effort was unsuccessful for various reasons, and the merger only took place in 2025.
AR Murugadoss' journey with Salman Khan
The filmmaker first crossed paths with the superstar prior to Ghajini, and they reconnected a few times following the film, each time with a different script. Unfortunately, plans fell through. This opportunity finally emerged when Nadiadwala reached out.
Murugadoss spoke about how he told the ace producer the story before they went to see Salman and from his perspective, it was ideal. They requested his availability in 2025, but he was so enthralled that he promptly granted us the dates while simultaneously promoting another film he was due to star in.

Sikandar stars Sathyaraj and Prateik Babbar in the roles of the antagonists, whereas Kajal Aggarwal plays a pivotal role in the film.
