AR Murugadoss says Madharaasi has a warning: That something like this can happen at our place

AR Murugadoss, whose next film Madharaasi is awaiting release in a couple of weeks, is back to Tamil cinema after a huge gap. His last film in Tamil was Darbar, which was out in 2020. Now, with the release of Madharaasi, the director is back in news and during the promotions of the film, AR Murugadoss spoke about how the film contains a warning.

Madharaasi director AR Murugadoss speaks about Sivakarthikeyan-starrer

Sivakarthikeyan, last seen in Amaran, is gearing up for the release of his next film, Madharaasi. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 5. Ahead of this, in an interview with Viketan’s YouTube channel, AR Murugadoss said that Madharaasi is a warning more than a message-oriented film.

Touted to be an action thriller, AR Murugadoss said that it is an entertainer. "But adding on to that, there is a small warning, more than a message. That something like this can happen at our place. but that apart, there are interesting action sequences, romance and action. When asked about the warning, Murugadoss did not reveal the plot but said that it would broach upon something, more like an alert, as the director did not want to reveal the plot too much. The filmmaker said that Sivakarthikeyan's character will have a unique feature which will set him apart from other people.

Madharaasi is set to release in theatres on September 5, followed by a streaming debut on Prime Video. The film will feature Kannada actor Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead, with an ensemble star cast that includes Biju Menon, Vikranth, Vidyut Jammal and others. The film features cinematography by Sudeep Elamon and editing by A Sreekar Prasad. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for the film.
