It’s been an arduous journey for the team of Aadujeevitham but it’s been made all the more fulfilling with the kind of support they have received the past four years they have been shooting. Music composer AR Rahman, who will be returning to Malayalam after 30 years with the movie, has been an integral part of the journey and its lead actor Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed that the maestro also shot for a music video for the movie in Jordan.

Prithviraj said that the team is pleasantly surprised by the kind of love that the composer has been showing to the film. The original plan was for Rahman to do the re-recording and compose a single track. “But he was the one who offered three songs, and there was also a portion where he suggested instead of re-recorded, we could use a song and he had sent a Bedouin-based track while we were shooting,” said the actor, during a press meet in Kochi.

Rahman also dropped by the film’s sets in Jordan last month and spent two and half days with the team, discussing the movie, going over the footage and also shooting promo materials for the film including an interview with Prithviraj. “We had also shot a music video with him for Aadujeevitham in which he has acted in. We will be releasing it closer to the film’s release,” said the actor.

The team earlier this month wrapped up most of the principal photography of the movie, which first went on floors in 2018. “The main challenge of the movie was to shoot it in the foreign deserts and that’s done,” said Prithviraj. “We have four more days of shoot left. I will be completing that once my beard has grown some more and another day of shoot for the tail-end portion that can be done much later.”

The actor also praised Blessy for seeing his vision through without any compromise. “For the past 14 years, he has dedicated his life to this film,” the actor concluded.
