Rahman has composed the number sung by Ananya Birla. Danny Mamik and Sahaan Hattangadi have directed the music video produced by Birla's banner Antimatter Media Pvt. Ltd.
Hindustani Way comprises visuals of sports enthusiasts glued to the television in their drawing room, watching sporting events and basking in their shared love for the Olympics. The video runs through important archival footage from Olympic games in different years, starting from the 1996 Atlanta games to the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Games, besides exclusive training footage of this year's contingent.
What’s more, star Indian athletes who made us proud, from shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore to Abhinav Bindra, are part of it too. Swept in shades of the tricolours of the Indian flag, the spirit of the country that loves sports comes up seamlessly in the anthem. In a statement, Rahman said that the song was his way of extending good wishes to Team India, and to share in the spirit of rooting for the team as one nation.
