AR Rahman shares a piece of advice for his contemporary, Anirudh Ravichander, who is doing many big films at present.

Composer AR Rahman, who is expecting the release of his film Kadhalikka Neramillai for Pongal, took part in the music and trailer launch event of the film which took place recently. The film stars Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, with Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi helming the project.
AR Rahman, who spoke at the event, was asked about composer Anirudh Ravichander. The Oscar-winning musician had some great words to say as well as a piece of advice to offer to Anirudh.
What is AR Rahman’s piece of advice to Anirudh Ravichander?
AR Rahman, who is scoring music for the upcoming romantic drama Kadhalikka Neramillai, addressed the media at the recently held audio and trailer launch event. When he was asked about his contemporary composer Anirudh Ravichander, AR Rahman had some nice words to share. "Ani is doing good music. He is working on big films and giving hits. There are not just 10 composers, but 10,000 of them. But he has stood apart and that comes from talent," he added.
However, AR Rahman also has a request to Anirudh, that to learn classical music. "Your longevity will be much more. I hope to see you thrive in that. Because when you do it, the younger generation will see it as well," AR Rahman said.
Kadhalikka Neramillai release date
AR Rahman’s album for Kadhalikka Neramillai has been getting a good reception from the audience. The film is set to release in theatres on January 14 for Pongal.
Helmed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, Kadhalikka Neramillai is touted to be a mature love story. Others part of the cast include Vinay Rai, Yogi Babu, Lal, John Kokken, TJ Bhanu, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, and Vinodhini, among others.
The trailer of Kadhalikka Neramillai was released recently, which shows Nithya Menen’s character getting pregnant and the drama that follows. Kadhalikka Neramillai marks the first time the actor is working with Jayam Ravi.
