Aranmanai 4, the recently released Tamil film starring director-actor Sundar C in the lead role, is now available for streaming. The horror film can now be watched on Disney+ Hotstar. Aranmanai 4 is the fourth instalment of the titular film franchise, helmed by Sundar C.
Aranmanai 4 is a horror comedy film headlined by Sundar C, who has also helmed the film and rest of the parts. The film released in theatres on May 3 and opened to mostly positive reception and box office success. As per the makers, the film earned Rs 100 crore, making it the first Tamil film of this year to achieve the feat in 2024, given how the industry has been facing a lull phase.
Now, Aranmanai 4 is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. In the film, Sundar C plays a Chennai-based lawyer who hears bad news about his eloped sister and her family. As he goes to her village to check on the happenings, the brother gets to know that there is a human flesh-feasting spirit called Baak haunting the people.
Aranmanai 4 is part of Sundar C’s film franchise by the same name. Each part can be consumed as a standalone movie with a different storyline and cast. Apart from Sundar C, the film also stars Tamannaah, Raashii Khanna, Santhosh Pratap, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Delhi Ganesh, Kovai Sarala, and others. Actors Simran and Khushbu also make cameo appearance in a song for the film.
Speaking to OTTplay, Sundar C had earlier said to us, “I was travelling to Bombay and two young girls asked when I would do Aranmanai 4. Taking it as a sign from upstairs and a solution for my oscillation, I took up Aranmanai 4. Even now, I don’t know if Aranmanai 5 will come or not; only Aranmanai 4 will decide.”
The technical crew consists of Hiphop Tamizha scoring the music and cinematographer E Krishnasamy, aka Kicha. The film is edited by Fenny Oliver.
