Raveena Tandon is making her Netflix debut and that too as a cop. The actor will be seen in a spine-chilling series titled Aranyak set against the backdrop of snow-clad Himalayas. As a part of Netflix's TUDUM event, the streaming platform unveiled a teaser that will pique one's interesting from the word 'go'. In the video, Raveena is seen following someone who turns out to be Ashutosh Rana.
The actor, then with his baritone voice and scary dialogues while pointing a gun towards Raveena's character leaves her worried. On the other hand, Parambrata Chatterjee is seen searching for her while holding a pistol in his hand. He also looks extremely aghast and stressed about Raveena's life. Meanwhile, Ashutosh's character leaves no stone unturned in making the vibe more intense, thus asking Raveena to look up. The teaser ends with her getting a shocking of her life while looking up in the air in the middle of a dense jungle.
The makers described the premise of Aranyak as "Raveena Tandon plays a cop who digs up skeletons and revives a forgotten Himalayan myth of a bloodthirsty, serial killing entity in the forest while investigating the disappearance of a teenage tourist."
As per a report in Indian Express, Raveena had spoken about her character Kasturi. She had said, "She has incredible strength. It’s not that she is trying to level herself in a man’s world, but the way she proves herself better than anyone else, that’s what attracted me to the show and the character."
Roy Kapur Films and Ramesh Sippy Entertainment are the producers of the series while Rohan Sippy is the showrunner. The director of the episodes is Vinay Waikul.
The streaming date of Aranyak is yet to be announced by Netflix.
