Aranyer Prachin Probad: Dev wishes Jeetu Kamal’s team for the new film

Jeetu Kamal’s new film Aranyer Prachin Probad is all set to release in July. Directed by Dulal Dey, the film also features Silajit Majumder, Loknath Dey, and Rafiath Rashid Mithila. Dev shared the film’s trailer on his X-handle. He wrote, “Many wishes to my friend Dulal Dey for his directorial debut.” The trailer came out on June 17. 

The film is about the murder of a doctor, played by Suhotro Mukhopadhyay, who wished to serve the underprivileged. A would-be doctor Aranya tries to solve the case. Mithila plays her girlfriend. Jeetu Kamal plays Aranya – a cricket enthusiast-turned-detective. Silajit Majumder plays a CID officer who is Aranya’s close relative. Sports journalist Dulal Dey is directing the film. Previously, he wrote the story of Dev’s film Golondaaj and also acted in the film. 

Dev debuted in Tollywood with the film Agnishapath. Then his film I Love You was a blockbuster. He worked in many commercial films like Premer Kahini and Challenge. He then started as a producer wishing to make films with a bit of a different flavor. He then worked in films like Champ, Golondaaj, Password, and Bagha Jatin. However, the actor wants to stand by the Bengali industry as a whole. Hence he always helps Yaash-Nusrat’s Sentimental or Jeet’s Boomerang. He shares the updates of new Tollywood projects on his social media handle. The film by Dulal Dey was not an exception. 

Jeetu Kamal had his break with Anik Dutta’s film Aparajito, where he played Satyajit Ray. He will again be seen as Ray in Srijit Mukherji’s film Padatik. He played a negative role in Jeet’s film Manush. He also worked in two films, Babusona and Ami Amar Moto, both featuring Srabanti Chatterjee as his co-star. But those are not yet released.
