Archana Gautam finally reacts to video of her being assaulted on the streets of Delhi: Women misbehaved too

A video of Archana Gautam and her father being assaulted on the streets of Delhi went viral recently. The Bigg Boss 16 contestant, who was once a member of the Congress party, has now reacted and confirmed that it did happen to her as well. She spoke about even women misbehaving. Archana wanted to congratulate Priyanka Gandhi but was instead victim to the violence.

What Archana said

Confirming that she was assaulted, Archana told News18 that while she somehow escaped with minor injuries, her father and their driver were beaten up badly. “My father is injured. My driver was hit on his head. This is not right. I am still fine. I will hold a press conference soon and will reveal the truth,” she shared. Archana added that while she was asking help from other cars passing by, she was pulled by the hair, which made her feel like an on-road r*pe.

What was Archana doing in Delhi

Archana wanted to visit the Congress party office and congratulate Priyanka Gandhi on the passing of Women’s Bill personally. She wished to go back since the actress did not have an opportunity to do so since Bigg Boss 16 happened. While she was hoping that they would feel welcomed, the exact opposite happened. Archana claims that even women misbehaved with her.

On Friday, a clip of Archana with her father went viral on the internet. This video left everyone in shock and many demanded security for her. In the short video, Archana’s father took most beating till he was almost unconscious. He tried to protect his daughter but was pulled away from her and beaten up even more.

Archana is a politician-actress, who was even a candidate in the elections during her tenure with Congress party. She participated in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 16 and was then offered Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. It is only now that she got time for being on reality shows. Although Archana did not win either of the shows, she shot to stardom with them.
