Ardh trailer: Rajpal Yadav and Rubina Dilaik starrer story of a poor struggling actor will inspire you, watch!

Ardh, which tells the story of a man from lower-income strata of society dreaming to become an actor one day, is one of the most anticipated OTT films of the year. The film features Rajpal Yadav and marks the first OTT film debut of Rubina Dilaik. And add to the excitement, the makers have now released the trailer of the film.

The two-minute and 12-second teaser opens with a sequence of images of a community densely filled with tiny houses in dark, dingy streets. The lens centers on the protagonist's footwear, which appears to be a female's slipper but it gradually pans to the protagonist's face, which is covered in make-up. Dressed in a saree, it turns out to be Rajpal Yadav’s character.

Shiva is the protagonist, portrayed by Rajpal Yadav. He is a male who disguises himself as a lady in order to collect money at Mumbai traffic signals. He wants to be an actor while he struggles to earn even the bare minimum. But, in a city where people with ambitions to make their dreams a reality one day, Yadav, like hundreds of others, is also shown struggling.

His wife is played by Dilaik. Day after day, she supports him in achieving his dream. Yadav, who is known for his comedic timing, is not only amusing in the trailer, but also exhibits a much more serious and gloomy side as he attempts to meet the demands of many people. Hiten Tejwani plays the role of his buddy and advisor.

Ardh is the narrative of practically every dreamer in Mumbai, said the writer and director Palash Muchhal. Palash added that they have attempted to keep the film as similar to truth as possible. It's something that a huge number of audiences will relate to since it's about people.

Rajpal Yadav said in his statement that Ardh is the narrative of those folks who work day and night to make their dreams come true. The survivors are represented by Shiva and Parvati. There are millions of Shiva and Parvati in our land who are striving to just exist. So, this is their tale, and he is privileged to share it.

As her first OTT project, she is preparing to take in the experiences and learning that will come along the path, Rubina Dilaik stated. She has come in with a clean slate, and is confident in having begun her new chapter with a visionary like Palash and a terrific co-star like Rajpal, she said.

Written and directed by Palash Muchhal, the film is produced by Pal Music and Films. The film is narrated by actor Jackie Shroff. The movie will release on Zee5 on June 10, this year.
