In April, Sohini Sarkar took to social media to announce his singlehood after the reported break-up with her beau Ranojoy Bishnu. However, after much speculation, the couple is reportedly back together. While the actor and the actress have so far been tightlipped about their break-up, according to media reports, the trouble has been pacified in their paradise. 

In April, Sohini posted a cryptic message on her Instagram story, “Single and I am loving every single moment of it (sic).” The trouble came as a bolt out of the blue to their common friends, especially since the post came after an elaborate birthday celebration of Ranojoy. The speculations about their breakup gathered momentum after Ranojoy and Sohini started living in separate houses. The scene started changing as Sohini and Ranojoy started shooting together. According to sources close to the couple, they are patching up slowly. 

Sohini and Ranojoy started dating in 2019 while they were shooting Ayan Chakraborty's Shororipu in North Bengal. Adter that they worked in Mainak Bhaumik’s Break Up Story for Hoichoi. They were open about their relationship and both of them expressed their intention to get married in near future. According to reports, their trouble started brewing after Ranojoy made his comeback on television with Leena Gangopadhyay’s Guddi in February this year. Meanwhile, both the actor and actress kept working during their speculated breakup in April. 

Sohini has worked in a Srikanto with Rishav Basu and others in Hoichoi. The actress is currently busy working in Arindam Sil’s Byomkesh Hatyamancha. She has been playing Satyabati – Byomkesh Bakshi’s wife – in the film. This is the fourth instalment of Arindam’s Byomkesh and it is based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s unfinished work, Bishupal Bodh.
