Arindam Sil reacts to Jisshu U Sengupta and Nilanjanaa’s separation: Both are friends and will be at their side

The reports that Jisshu U Sengupta and Nilanjanaa are separating after 20 years of marriage have hit the Bengali entertainment industry hard. The couple – known to be social – have reportedly decided to part ways legally and are currently consulting lawyers. Jisshu, despite living in Kolkata, has been staying at his sister’s place. 

Arindam Sil and his wife Shukla Das are known to be close friends of Jisshu and Nilanjanaa. While talking to OTTplay, the director and actor said, “We all are sad. Jisshu and Nilanjanaa are our family friends. We want both of them to be happy. At any given time, I will always be at their side to support them.” 

Jisshu and Nilanjanaa got married in 2004 and have two daughters, Sara and Zara. Nilanjanaa removed her surname ‘Senguptaa’ from social media. Rudranil Ghosh and director Raajhorshee De shared their feelings regarding the incident. 

Jisshu is versatile in Tollywood, Bollywood, and South Indian films. He has been busy in Mumbai for most of the time. He has allegedly been in a relationship for seven years with one of his non-actress co-workers in Mumbai. That affected his family. Nilanjanaa was hospitalised a few days back and it was heard that she got sick owing to dehydration. She shared a sad message on social media after that which added to the speculations.

In a report written by Jisshu's close friend Rudranil Ghosh, the writer said that he did not believe in those rumors, since he knew Jisshu and Nilanjanaa before they became famous. Jisshu, as Ujjwal Sengupta's son, did not get any extra advantage in the industry. He worked hard and made a lot of sacrifices. Rudranil does not believe that such a person can leave his family for a third person. But if the rumor is true, Rudranil will also search for a solution, since he does not believe that people can't reconcile after breaking up, unlike glass. 

Director Rajhorshee De shared Nilanjana's post on Facebook and wrote that he felt sad reading this post. He also wrote that Jisshu and Nilanjana were close to his heart.
