Arjun Das to make his Mollywood debut with director Ahammed Khabeer for a romcom; here’s what we know

Arjun Das, who has established himself as one of the most impressive talents in Tamil industry, is all set to foray into Malayalam cinema. The actor has recently signed his upcoming project with June-fame director Ahammed Khabeer for a romantic comedy. The film will mark the Kaithi actor’s Malayalam debut. Announcing the exciting news, the actor took to his social media pages to share the new update with a photo of himself and the director. 

Thanking the makers for the opportunity, the actor wrote, “My very first Malayalam feature film. Super excited for this cute rom-com. A sweet love story directed by Ahammed Khabeer. Thank you for believing in me, Ahammed. A Hesham Abdul Wahab musical. Will surely need all your blessings, love, and support as always. (sic)”

All about Arjun Das’ Malayalam debut

Malayalam director Ahammed, who is known for his films Madhuram (2021) and June (2019), will be making a comeback to romantic drama after his last crime-drama web series Kerala Crime Files, which released in 2023. The music for the film will be scored by Hesham Abdul Wahab of Hi Nanna and Hridayam fame. Although the film has been confirmed, an official announcement about the film’s cast and crew is yet to be made.

Arjun Das’ other projects  

Meanwhile, the actor is awaiting the release of his bilingual action-drama Por , which is slated to be released on March 1. Arjun Das and Kalidas Jayaram headline the Tamil version, while the film’s Hindi version is called Dange and stars director Harshvardhan Rane and Ehan Bhat in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Bejoy Nambiar and is set to revolve around an ego clash between two college students.
